New York travel tips
New York, Land of Skyscrapers
New York, with its famous Empire State Building, is a lively city with the crowded Manhattan Island in the center, and bustling downtown of financial and cultural activities, surrounded by the Hudson, East, and Harlem rivers and the Harbour.
New York is a fantastic city all year round. Be aware that summers are hot, but it can get very cold in winter. For visiting at holiday or festival time, the New Year's Eve celebrations are legendary. The colorful Chinese New Year takes place in February. Another colorful festival is St. Patrick's Day with a parade and events. Don't forget to wear green and a shamrock! For the fashion-conscious, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week takes place in February and September.
