History
China Southern Airlines was founded in 1991 in Guangzhou, and is now the largest airline in the People’s Republic of China and one of the most profitable in the world. Currently, negotiations are taking place on joining the global Sky Team alliance. Membership is not however expected to take place before 2008.
Network
China Southern Airlines network includes over 80 national and some international destinations, from the two hubs Guangzhou and Beijing and the other hubs in Shenyang, Urumqi, Changchun, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Zhengzhou and Dalian are served regularly. Chinese destinations are for example Dandong, Dong Sheng, Huang Shan, Hong Kong, Kashi, Lijiang, Lhasa, Tacheng, Tongren, Wuyishan, Yancheng and Zhuhai. International destinations include Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Los Angeles and Singapore.
