Location
First in use in 1944, the airport is about 10 and 17 kilometers or around 8 miles east of downtown in the suburb of Guildford, just between the Tonkin Highway (# 4), the Great Eastern Highway (# 1) and the Roe Highway (# 3). A daily service is provided between the national terminals and the centre by the buses # 36, 37 and 40 operated by the public transport company TRANSPERTH. The Perth Airport City Shuttle also provides a service from all the terminals to various important points in the city.
Please note that the free transfer shuttle between the national and the international terminal (about 7 kilometers) is exclusively for passengers of Qantas and the Oneworld Alliance. All other passengers currently (2008) pay 8, - AUD.
Perth Airport has a total of 3 terminals, Terminal 1 for international scheduled flights and Terminal 2 and 3 for domestic scheduled flights.
