The best time to travel to Manila depends on a variety of factors. First of all, the climate receives a great deal of rain during the typhoon season from June to October. Like Europe, Easter and Christmas are important holidays. On the 9th of January the island celebrates the "Feast of the Black Nazarine" (Crosto Negro). There are some things you should be aware of before you travel. First of all, you need to make sure that you are up-to-date on your vaccinations. Secondly, it is very important that you remember to carry some form of I.D. with you as the local police are very strict about it. Keep in mind that the rainy season often involves landslides and flash floods as well. Moreover, the tap water is not very healthy and should not be used even for brushing teeth and all fruit and vegetables should be peeled and cooked before eating in order to avoid infections. Visitors from the US will be very pleased at the low cost of living. 

The city of Manila offers a bus shuttle service from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. that will go from terminal 3 to LRT station and they also have scheduled bus service from the first and second terminals to the city. The city also offers taxis and jeepneys for rental at the airport as well. The tickets for the public transport of buses and jeepneys usually runs at around 22 pesos. Manila also has many taxis. If you take one, you should negotiate the price before getting in.

Manila - Ninoy Aquino International airport is the most important and largest airport in Southeast Asian Republic of the Philippines, a country in the Western Pacific, which consists of approximately 7100 islands, of which only about 900 are permanently inhabited.

Location

First in use in 1937, the airport is about 10 miles south of downtown, directly on the South Super Highway # 1. The inexpensive metro buses operate a regular service between the airport and Manila City; there are also plenty of taxis at the airport.
