Introducing Manila
Manila is a relaxing and enjoyable place where you can bask in the tropical sun, the beaches, and the people. The warm climate has become increasingly appealing to people and this continues to be a popular tourist destination as a result.
The best time to travel to Manila depends on a variety of factors. First of all, the climate receives a great deal of rain during the typhoon season from June to October. The best time to travel if you want to keep that in mind is from November to April. Another thing to consider would be the festivals and holidays that occur in this important Philippine city. Like Europe, Easter and Christmas are important holidays. On the 9th of January the island celebrates the "Feast of the Black Nazarine" (Crosto Negro). Moreover, there are many hundreds of festivals for the patron saints on the islands as well.
Before You Travel: Vaccinations/Safety/Tips/Cost of Living/Time Zone
There are some things you should be aware of before you travel. First of all, you need to make sure that you are up-to-date on your vaccinations. Cholera, Hepatitis A, Rabies, Tetanus, Typhoid, and Diphtheria are all illnesses that you should been vaccinated against before you travel to this area of the world. Secondly, it is very important that you remember to carry some form of I.D. with you as the local police are very strict about it. Keep in mind that the rainy season often involves landslides and flash floods as well. Moreover, the tap water is not very healthy and should not be used even for brushing teeth and all fruit and vegetables should be peeled and cooked before eating in order to avoid infections. Visitors from the US will be very pleased at the low cost of living.
