Brussels Airport, also known as Luchthaven Brussel-Zaventem or Aéroport Bruxelles-National, is the most important and largest airport in Belgium. The airport is one of the 20 largest airports in Europe with a total of 17 million checked in passengers a year.- URL: Official website

- Directions by car: From Brussels orbital highway R0 onto the A201 which leads to the airport. The airport is then signposted.
- Stations: Take the train either to Brussel-Centraal, -Noord or -Zuid and then use the "Airport City Express" train which goes to the airport terminal.
Location
Opened in 1940, the airport is about 11 km or 8 miles north east of downtown Amsterdam near the town of Zaventem. Passengers arriving by car please take the Brussels orbital highway R0 and then turn off onto the A210 motorway that leads to the airport.
The airport has its own train station. Passengers traveling by train please head for Brussels Centraal Station and then change for the "Airport City Express" train. This also goes from Brussel Noord Station and Brussel Zuid Station.
Numerous buses also serve the airport: from Central Station, the bus nr. 471 operated by "De Lijn"; from the nearby metro station Luxembourg/Luxemburg, the bus number 12 that runs at 30 minuten intervals (Airport Line). The "Airport Line" also runs from Schuman metro station (line 11). Bus numbers 272, 282, 359, 471, 616, 621, 651, 652, 659, 681, 682, 683, 820, 821 and 823 also stop at the airport.
