The flight route from Atlanta (ATL) to Miami (MIA) has always been very popular. Sun, entertainment and luxury make Miami a top destination. The 660 or so miles are covered in around 2 hours by two airlines, Delta and American, who operate several direct flights a day. Shuttles transfer passengers between the terminals at the airport. j
Unfortunately, the usual low-cost carriers such as Jetblue do not service this flight route, so getting a cheap air ticket will come down to booking early and avoiding peak vacation periods.
Every year, Miami welcomes approximately 11 million visitors fromaround the world. These are attracted not only by the weather, but also the multicultural atmosphere in Miami (50% of Miami is Spanish speaking). Take the airport flyer - which is an express bus that takes travelers from Miami International Airport into downtown Miami, for example the beach. There is also a metrobus system which serves business, shopping, entertainment and cultural centers. The prices are fair: as little as two dollars for a single trip. And best of all, that trip can cost as little as $2.
