Westjet flies with a fleet of 13 Boeing 737-600, 49 Boeing 737-700 and 6 Boeing 737-800. More Boeing aircraft have been ordered.
History
Westjet is a Canadian low-cost airline and was founded in 1996 in Calgary. Although the airline only started out with two aircraft, it was able to steadily expand such that it now owns 68 planes. Since 2004, destinations outside the United States are also being served.
Network
From the four hubs in Calgary, Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton, Westjet mainly serves airports within Canada. International flights operate mainly to the southern United States, including Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Honolulu and West Palm Beach. Outside the United States, the airline flies to Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, Nassau, Mazatlan and Montego Bay.
