History
Delta Airlines was established in 1928 by the name of Delta Air Service as an offshoot of an agricultural airline by the name of "Huff Daland Dusters" . In 1945, the airline was given its current name. In the course of the years, several airlines were taken over so that Delta airlines became the largest airline in the world when it took over Northwest Airlines.
Following the terrorist attacks on the September 11th 2001, Delta and American Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, Continental Airways and Boeing took the FBI and CIA to court. The case seeks to clear up the question of whether the airlines also carry the responsibility for the attacks.
