Location
In 1958, the civil aviation airport was opened about 7 km or 4 miles south of the capital of the island, Valletta. Between the capital Valletta and the airport the bus number 8 operates on weekdays between 6 am and 9.30 pm every 20 minutes and on weekends every 30 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus that leaves the airport several times a day and goes directly to Gozo, current departure times are available locally.
