Malta - Luqa International airport is the main airport in the same small southern island state of Malta, which is between Sicily and the North African coast in the southern Mediterranean Sea.

Location

In 1958, the civil aviation airport was opened about 7 km or 4 miles south of the capital of the island, Valletta. Between the capital Valletta and the airport the bus number 8 operates on weekdays between 6 am and 9.30 pm every 20 minutes and on weekends every 30 minutes. There is also a shuttle bus that leaves the airport several times a day and goes directly to Gozo, current departure times are available locally.
