Location
First in use in 1946, the airport is about 10 miles south east of downtown near the BR-376 motorway, and near the suburb of São José dos Pinhais. Passengers arriving by bus head for Curitiba central bus station (rodoviária) and from here use a taxi or the shuttle buses operated by Ônibus Ligeirinho Aeroporto or Ônibus Aeroporto Executivo to the airport. The minibuses operated by Ônibus Aeroporto Executivo leave the bus station daily at 20 minute intervals between 5 am and 10 pm. Bus number 208 also operates a service between the inner city and the airport.
