Location
The airport was taken into use in 1984 and is about 17 miles north of downtown Belo Horizonte on the MG-010 highway near Confins. Rail and bus passengers head for Belo Horizonte and then use a taxi or the airport shuttle "Conexão Aeroporto" operated by Expresso UNIR to the airport. The bus runs daily between 4:15 am and 11 pm at 30 minute intervals.
