Our first priorities and strategic guidelines have always been based on quality and product viability and, with these objectives in mind, we continuously seek out the best partners and solutions to meet customer expectations and to repay their loyalty. TAP Air Portugal has, therefore, recently joined Star Alliance, a world leader in its field and an association that gives maximum value to customers of its associated companies, which retain their identity and autonomy. This new, decisive step in the life of TAP, which in 2005 will have been operating for 60 years, will give passengers access to a truly global network of destinations and enable them, in the near future, to benefit from numerous advantages, particularly airport services and facilities. Frequent Flyers, members of the TAP Navigator Program, will also be able to accumulate and use miles on any of the group companies and can also attain Silver and Gold Star Alliance levels that will, in turn, entitle them to still more advantages. The fact that TAP was unanimously accepted by other companies in the alliance was not only proof of general recognition and confidence in our services, the accumulation of rigorous teamwork over recent years and also a tremendous stimulus and challenge to the company. We shall continue to work, with renewed effort and responsibility, so that we increasingly deserve our customers’ choice and contribute to the consolidation of our position as a Portuguese carrier in the "first league" of the Airline Industry, adding still more to the image of Portugal in the World.
