Location

The airport was opened in 1935 and is located about 6 miles east of downtown Sofia. Head for Sofia on the boulevard Bryuksel and follow the signs to the airport.

Rail and bus passengers take trains and buses to Sofia main train or bus stations and from there use the bus numbers 84 for Terminal 1 or number 284 for Terminal 2. The distance between the two terminals is only about 300 meters.
