Location

First in use in 1925, the airport is about 20 miles northeast of Salvador in the neighboring city of Lauro de Freitas. From Salvador use the highway BA-099 towards Lauro de Freitas and then follow the signs to the airport. the airport exit is directly on the BA-099.

There is a regular minibus service at 20 minute intervals between the airport and the Praça de Sé, nea the old town of Salvador-Pelouriho. There is also an airport bus that leaves the terminals and goes to the center of Salvador. Timetable details are available locally.
