Location

Opened in1961, the airport is about 4 miles south of the city centre. By car the airport may be reached on the N22 or the N25 to the junction with the N27, then follow the signs to the airport. Coming from the south west use the N71 to Ballinhassig and then us the R600, where the airport is then signposted.


Rail passengers take trains to Cork Kent Train Station and use the airport shuttle that leaves from the nearby St. Patricks Quay on the River Lee at 30 minute intervals and is operated by SkyLink. The journey takes between 10 and 15 minutes. There is also a public bus operated by Bus Eireann that leaves from Cork Parnell Place Bus Station (10 minutes walk from the main railway station). The bus leaves at 30 to 40 minute intervals and the journey takes half an hour.
