Volos Airport is also known as Nea Aghilaos or "Int. Airport of Central Greece", and Is an important airport in Greece. It is on the Greek mainland near the seaport Volos, also the provincial capital of the Magnesia prefecture on the Pagasetic golf. The airport is administered by the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, which is also responsible for monitoring Greek aerospace.

Opened in 1994, the airport is about 20 miles south west of Volos and 4 miles south of Nea Aghialos. Coming from Volos by car, please follow the sings to the airport shortly out of town in a southerly direction. All other passengers use the A1/E75 towards Nea Aghialos and then follow the signs to the airport.
