The airport, opened in 1965 is 4 miles south of Mostar on the M-17. Take the M-17/E73 between Mostar and Metkovic and then follow the signs to the airport.

Rail passengers coming from Sarajevo or Ploce take trains to Mostar and then take a public bus to the airport.
