The airport is 7 miles west of the capital of the state of South Carolina. Motorists should take the Interstate 26 between Columbia and Orangeburg to just before Springdale (exit # 113), and then take the State Road 302 (Airport Blvd), following the signs to the airport. Motorists coming from the west take the Interstate 77 just before Columbia and then continue on Interstate 26 to Exit # 113. Motorists coming from the west best take the Interstate 20 until just before Columbia and then turn right onto the Interstate 26. Take this to exit # 113 and follow the signs to the airport.
Rail passengers take trains to Columbia Amtrak Railroad Station, and then catch the bus # 28a operated by the local transport company CMRTA.
