Opened in 1954 , the airport is about 5 miles south east of Brno near the town of Šlapanice. Use the D1 to exit 201 (Brno-Slatina) and then follow the signs to the airport.
Rail passengers head for the main station Brno Hlavni Nadrazi and then use the bus 76; the journey time takes 20 minutes.
