The airport was first in use on 1954 and is located approximately 7 km or 4 miles north of downtown. Motorists can reach the airport on the highway M2 (highway).

A regular shuttle bus operates between the airport and downtown as well as a tram between the station and the airport. The current timetable is available locally.
