Currently, the airline owns 14 aircraft of the manufacturer Boeing; another 2 of the type Boeing 737-800 are expected to be delivered in 2008.
History
Sun Express, a German-Turkish joint venture company of Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, was founded in 1989. The airline company is one of the biggest holiday and charter airlines in Europe and in 2006 transported more than 2.3 million passengers from Northern and Western Europe to the Turkish Mediterranean coast. The primary hub in Antalya is now served throughout the whole year.
Network
Currently (summer schedule 2007) Sun Express’ routes include 29 airports in North and West Europe, which are served regularly from Antalya and the other hubs in Istanbul, Izmir and Bodrum. These include Amsterdam, Basel, Hannover, Dresden, Luxembourg, London-Stansted, Zurich and Vienna.
