Fleet
The Avior Airlines currently (November 2007) owns 11 Beechcraft 1900 and 4 Boeing 737-200 aircraft in its fleet.
History
Avior Airlines was established in 1994 in the Venezuelan city of Barcelona in order to primarily transport refinery products for the major oil company in the country, Petróleos de Venezuela SA. Only one year after being established, the airline purchased two Dornier Do 28 multi-purpose aircraft. The airline at first offered flights to Isla Margarita (Porlamar) and the Canaima National Park, but has now extended its network to include international routes.
Network
Avior’s network currently includes more than 20 different regional and international destinations, which are served regularly from the base in Barcelona and the secondary Hub Caracas, such as Aruba, Barquisimeto, Curacao, Maracaibo, Miami, Porlamar and Puerto Ordaz. More national and international destinations are expected to be added such as Buenos Aires, Fort Lauderdale, Santo Domingo and Panama City.
