Aegean Airlines
Aegean Airlines is a regional Greek airline founded in 1987, which has on many occasions received awards for its success and fairness from the European Regional Airlines Association (ERA), including the “Gold Award 2004/05", the "Silver Award 2005/06" as well as the "Bronze Award 2000/01".
In December 1999 the merger with the airline Air Greece took place, and in April 2001 Aegean Airlines merged with Cronus Airlines. In November 2005, Aegean Airlines became a partner of Lufthansa and in March 2006, the partnership with TAP Portugal was established.
Aegean Airlines operates flights from Athens and Thessalonica to mainly European destinations. The national destinations include Heraklion, Rhodes, Corfu, Alexandroupolis and Samos, international destinations for example are Basel-Mulhouse (EuroAirPort), Rome, Milan, Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart. As a code share partner, Aegean, together with Italian Air One operates flights to Venice, Palermo, Geneva and Turin, Trieste and Naples and together with Lufthansa flies via Frankfurt and Munich to Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hanover, Hamburg, and directly with the TAP Portugal to Lisbon.
