Zakynthos International Airport is one of the most important airports in Greece. It is in the most southerly Ionian island of the same name, situated on the west coast of the Peloponnes in the Ionian Sea. The capital city of the island, Zakynthos-City (Chora) is at the same time the administrative centre of the area. The airport is administered by Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority, which is also responsible for monitoring Greek aerospace.

Location
The airport was opened in 1972 and is 2 miles south west of Zakynthos-City near the town of Kalamaki. Drive from Zakynthos-city to Kalamiki and then follow the signs to the airport.
