Turkish Airlines is a major airline in Turkey that is based in Istanbul. The airline operates regular flights to 140 cities worldwide and 35 cities within Turkey. Istanbul Atatürk Airport (IST) and Sabiha Gökcen (SAW) are the airline's main hubs.

Turkish Airlines has been a member of the Star Alliance since April 2008. Passengers now have the opportunity of collecting points for partner airlines in frequent flyer programmes and are able to use the airport lounges.

Fleet

Currently, Turkish Airlines has 131 aircraft (as of 6 August 2009). The fleet consists of different Airbus and Boeing types. The airline owns 65 Boeing and 62 Airbus machines and 4 A310 cargo aircraft.
