Location
Opened in 1955, the airport is about 18 kilometers or 10 miles southwest of Bergen. From Bergen use the E-39 to the town of Ra and then follow the airport signs on the main road 580 (Flyplassvegen). Rail and bus passengers head for Bergen main train or bus station and then use either a taxi, or the airport shuttle that operates from 7.30 am until the last arrival. Alternatively take the 523 bus to the airport. There is also a bus service from Sotra and Loddefjord (bus 45). Current departure times are available at the airport.
