Location
First opened in 1952, the airport is in the town of Imperial, about 28 km or 20 miles northwest of downtown Pittsburgh. The terminal is accessible via the Pennsylvania State Route 60 (Airport Expressway) at exits 5 and 6, as well as on the Pennsylvania 576 Turnpike (Southern Beltway), which is linked to U.S. Highway 22 and 30.
Between the terminal and Amtrak Station / Penn Station, the bus route 28X (Airport Flyer) operated by the Pittsburgh Port Authority goes regularly between the terminal and Amtrak Station/ Penn Station. Current timetable details are available locally.
The bus route 29 of Mountain Line Transit also operates a regular service to Clarksburg (West Virginia) via Pittsburgh (Greyhound Station), Waynesburg, Morgantown and Fairmont. Alternatively, please take a taxi, shuttle-limousine or rent a car.
