Opened in 1976, the airport is located about 17 km or 14 miles southeast of downtown Orlando. It may be reached using the Florida State Road 528 leaving at Exit 11, Florida State Road 436, or the Florida 417 Toll Road, exit 17.
Between the airport and the Amtrak Station / Greyhound station in downtown or the Lynx Central Station, the LYNX bus routes 11 and 51 operate a regular service. Other local bus routes, which regularly stop at the airport are the numbers 41, 42 and the 111 that goes to Walt Disney World. Alternatively, please take a shuttle bus, taxi, rental car or limousine .
