Useful information about the flight from Boston to Paris

Flight to charming Paris

Paris charms large numbers of visitors with its unique atmosphere of streetside cafes, culture and fashion.

Paris winter or summer - when to book your flight

While winters can be cold, Paris is a great destination all year round and offers activities in all seasons. Summer is particularly exciting though, with celebrations like the Fête de la Musique on June 21. In July, the Paris Jazz Festival is hosted in the Parc Floral and offers live music on Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm, while the Tour de France is a national sports tradition. Another unmissable event is the national holiday, Bastille Day, on July 14.

Useful tips before your trip

The cost of living in Paris is cheaper than in London, and the food is of good quality. In addition, state museums offer free admission on the first Sunday of every month. Finally, many French people speak very little English and it is therefore useful to learn a few basic sentences in French.

Traveling around and accommodation

From Charles De Gaulle, the RER B train reaches Châtelet Les Halles in about 30 minutes for around 10 EUR, while Roissybus goes to Opéra in approximately 1 hour for ca. 11 EUR and taxis cost about 60 EUR. After arriving in Orly, passengers can take Tram T7 to Villejuif - Louis Aragon, bus 183 to Porte de Choisy, Orlybus to Denfert-Rochereau, or Les Cars Air France to either Gare Montparnasse or Étoile. A taxi ride costs approximately 60 EUR. From Beauvais, a shuttle service reaches Porte Maillot in about 1h 15 for ca. 17 EUR. As the airport is located about 80km from Paris, cabs are an expensive option. From Le Bourget, visitors can either take bus 152 to Station La Courneuve - 8 Mai 1945, followed by the Tram 7, or bus 350, stopping at Gare de l'Est, Gare du Nord or Porte de la Chapelle. Also, an airport shuttle goes to the station Le Bourget, where the RER B stops. Typical accommodation in Paris is small boutique hotels, with rooms at about 100EUR pp/night. Luxury hotels are also available, as well as hostels, for budget travelers. Public transportation is not only cheaper than cabs but also faster, as heavy traffic can be an issue in the capital.
