Sharm el-Sheik International Airport is the second most important airport in the north African Arab Republic of Egypt after Cairo.

Location

The airport is about 17 miles or 12 km north of Sharm el Sheik and easy to reach on the road to Dahab. There are plenty of taxis and minibuses at the airport. The journey to Sharm el Sheikh takes about 20 minutes. Rental cars are also available for the onward journey and package tour holidaymakers are usually picked up by their tour operator and transferred to and from their hotels.
