Reopened in 1986, the airport is about 15 kilometres or 9 miles south of Forde, near Bygstad. From Forde use the E-39 towards the exit for the main road 57 behind Bygstad and follow the airport signs. From Forde there is a regular shuttle that leaves 60 minutes prior to each flight; this is operated by "Firda Billag AS".
