Location
The airport was opened in 1932 and is about 5 miles east of Cluj, near the suburb Someseni. From Cluj take the highway C/E-576 towards Rascruci and then follow the signs to the airport.

Rail or bus passengers take trains to Cluj Hbf./central bus station and then take a taxi or the bus number 8 operated by the local public transport company RATUC to the airport.
