TACV operates with a fleet of 2 Boeing 757-200, 1 ATR 42-500 and 2 ATR 72-500.
History
The airline was founded in 1958 in order to provide passenger transport between the islands. During the first year, the airline only transported 460 passengers. Passenger growth was slow in the following years. In 1962 the company transported about 2000 passengers. First routes to the European continent were taken up by the airline in 1985 with the route Sal-Lisbon-Sal.
Network
TACV links the Cape Verde island to the USA, South America, Africa and Europa. In America the airline flies to Boston and Fortaleza, In Africa destinations include Dakar, Banjul, Bissau, Conakry and Abidjan. In Europe, the airline flies to the Canaries, Lisbon, Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, Rome, Bergamo, Venice and Malpensa.
