Mahan Air currently owns a fleet of 13 Airbus A300x and 4 Boeing 747 aircraft.
History
The private airline Mahan Air was founded in 1991 in the south eastern Iranian city of Kerman. In the early years, Iran’s first private airline only transported freight, this was later extended to include charter flights. Meanwhile, national and international airports in Asia and Europe are also served.
Network
Mahan Air’s network of flights currently (October 2007) includes more than 20 national and international destinations, that are served regularly from the base in Tehran and the other hub in Bandar Abbas, eg domestic destinations: Mahshahr, Kerman, Zahedan and Zabol and internationally: Birmingham, Cochin, Damascus, Jeddah, Sharjah, Almaty and Lahore.
