History
Flybondi, Argentina's first low-cost airline, was founded in 2016 and began regular operations from its base in El Parlomar in February 2018. In its first year of operation, it only offered destinations within Argentina, such as Mendoza, Bariloche or Puerto Iguazu .
In 2019, the airline announced its intention to also serve international destinations and first flew the route from Buenos Aires to Rio de Janeiro and Ascuncion.
Flybondi received a concession from the Argentine government until 2031 and plans to invest a lot of money in the expansion of the airport during this decade. In addition, the airline plans to build a completely new terminal due to the strong growth and to also connect the airport to rail transport.
Network
From its current base in Buenos Aires, more than 15 national and international destinations are currently offered: nationally to Cordoba, Mendoza or Bariloche and internationally to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janerio, Ascuncion or Punta del Este, among others.
