History
The airline Atlantic Airways was founded on 10th November 1987 by the Danish Cimber Air and is now completely owned by the Faroe Islands state. Since the Danish airline Maersk Air its abandoned regular flights to the Faroesin 2004, Atlantic is currently the only airline to connect the islands with the outside world.
Network
Atlantic flies from its base, the airport Vágar, to several destinations in Scandinavia, Great Britain and Iceland, such as Aalborg, Aberdeen, Copenhagen, London, Oslo, Reykjavik, Sumburgh, Stavanger and Narsarsuaq.
