History
The American cheap airline AirTran Airways was established in 1997 from a takeover of the old AirTran Airways by ValuJet Airlines.
Network
AirTran Airways operated flights to destinations within the United States and to Mexico from its hub in Atlanta and from the two hubs in Baltimore and Orlando. These included Seattle, New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, New Orleans, Houston, Denver, Chicago and the Mexican destinations Acapulco, Cozumel, Guadalajara, Ixtapa and Mazatlan.
