Location
Officially inaugurated in 1926, the airport is located approximately 15 km or 8 miles south west of Ulan-Ude in the community Sokol (Сокол). Motorists can reach the airport by following the signs on the A-165 highway.

Between the airport and central railway station the bus line 34 operates a regular service, the trip takes about 20 minutes. For other services into the city please take bus lines 28, 55 and 77; all departure times are available locally. Alternatively, please take a taxi to get to and from the airport.
