Location
The airport began operating in 1923 and is located about 22 km or 17 miles southwest of downtown, near the village of Gnilitsy (гнилицы).

The buses 11, 20 and T.29 stop at the airport. The 11 and T.29 operate a regular service to the metro station Park Kultury, the 20 bus goes to the train station "Moscow" (Московский вокзал). All current timetables are available locally; alternatively, please take a taxi for the onward journey.
