Location
First in use in 1973 , the airport is about 4 miles north of downtown Porto Velho. By car use the highway BR-364 and then head for the Rotaria in Porto Velho, then turn off onto the main road "Avenida Jorge Teixeira" northbound directly to the airport. Coming from the north use the BR-319 highway to the ferry and then the main road (Estrada da Balsa) to the 3 Rotaria then follow the signs to the airport on the "Avenida Jorge Teixera". There is a shuttle bus service between the airport and the bus station Porto Velho operating every day at 60 minute intervals.
