Airport Gothenburg City Airport

Gothenburg City is the second and by far the smaller of the two airports in the southern Swedish city of Gothenburg, the other being Landvetter. It is now one of the fast growing airports in the country due to the fact that the so-called low cost carriers have for a few years been operating cheap flights to various European destinations.

Location
The airport was opened in 1940 as a military airport and first used for civilian fligths in 1970. it is 10 miles north west of the city centre and near the community of Säve. In Göteborg use the main road 159 northbound and then follow the signs to the airport near Säve. There is an airport shuttle to the city centre or the bus station from the airport after every flight arrival. The journey time is between 25 and 30 minutes. From the bus station (Nils Ericson Terminal) there is a shuttle bus that leaves 2.5 hours before every flight departure.
