The Turkish charter and scheduled airline Onur Air Taşımacılık A.Ş, in short: Onur Air, was founded in 1992 in Istanbul. The airline is one of the largest European holiday airlines and next to Turkish Airlines is now the second largest airline in Turkey. According to its own figures, the airline has carried more than 40 million passengers since being founded. In addition to its main line of business: transporting European holidaymakers to the Turkish coastal resorts during the summer months for renowned large tour operators, the company has since 2003 created a second profitable line of business and is offering cheap scheduled flights.
Currently, the airline operates scheduled air services from its base in Istanbul to 18 different destinations, including Adana, Amsterdam, Antalya, Dusseldorf, Izmir, Paris, Samsun and Tehran.
