Description:
airberlin currently flies from airports on the East and West Coast of the United States to many destinations in Europe, as well as serving a selection of airports in the Carribean, Canada and Mexico. Flights also go to popular seaside resorts and major cities in Europe. On 28th April 1979 the first Air Berlin flight flew from Berlin-Tegel to Palma de Mallorca, which still today is the most important destination in the airline’s network.
Other important holiday destination on the Mediterranean Sea include Alicante, Almeria, Malaga and Jerez de la Frontera and the airline also provides regular flights to Italy, Greece, Turkey, Faro in Portugal, Madeira, Tunisia, Marocco and Egypt.
The City Shuttle was introduced in October 2002 - this provides affordable connections between European cities such as Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, Helsinki, Copenhagen, London-Stansted, Madrid, Milan-Bergamo, Manchester, Paris, Rome, Vienna and Zurich.
