Description: Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix is Arizona’s most important intercontinental airport and one of the biggest air hubs in the south-west of the United States. Phoenix Airport is the largest airport in the city and ranks 12 of the most used commercial airports in the world. It is located 3 miles east of the Central Business District (CBD) of Phoenix, a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, and was officially opened in 1936 after the city had bought it one year earlier.

Due to the rapid passenger growth, the city of Phoenix plans to use Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in Mesa as an alternative airport. Sky Harbor ranked 8 of the largest airports in the USA in 2005 and counting passenger numbers is at place 14 of the largest airports in the world.
Location: The airport can be easily reached from all directions. For example on the Interstate Highway No.10 taking exits 148, 149 and 150
