Airport Kilimanjaro JRO

Kilimanjaro International Airport is the second largest airport in the East African Republic of Tanzania. It is the most significant airport for tourism in the country due to the vicinity of the national park and the Kilimanjaro mountains.

Location

First opened in 1971, the airport is about 50 km or 34 miles southeast of Arusha and approximately 40 km or 24 miles southwest of Moshi. It is signposted on the highway A-23 (Arusha - Himo Road). There is a regular shuttle bus to Moshi and Arusha operated by the red airlines. Alternatively, please take a taxi.
