Bradley International Airport is near the 3 cities of Windsor Locks, Suffield and East Granby in Hartford County, Connecticut. It is located north of Hartford and south of Springfield, Massachusetts. It is the busiest commercial airport in Connecticut and the second busiest airport in New England after Boston’s Logan International Airport.

By car the airport may be reached from the east via the Rt 90. take this road to the R84 heading west, the 291 to the west and then on the Rt 91 north to exit 40. The airport is accessible from all directions at exit 40 on the R90.

History:
|
After the Second World War, the airfield Windsor Lock was again opened for civilian use and renamed Bradley International Airport. The first civilian flight took place in 1947, when an airplane of Eastern Air Lines landed at the airport. Hartford Bradley airport finally replaced the older and smaller Hartford-Brainard Airport as Hartfords main airport. In 2005, Song Airlines on behalf of Delta Air Lines took up a direct route to Los Angeles (LAX). From 01.07.2007 Northwest Airlines also offered flights to Amsterdam and thereby provide the first non-stop flights from Connecticut to Europe.
