History
The private Italian airline Volare Airlines was founded in 1997 by some entrepreneurs in Thiene, a town in the northern region of Veneto. The airlines service was initially limited to charter flights, which the airline began operating on April 3rd, 1998. In a very short time, the company was able extend its offer to include flight routes to various destinations in Europe. Inspired by the positive business success, the company decided to expand its area of business and from 1999 also provided scheduled flights to European airports.

Network
Currently (October 2007) Volare Airlines flies from its hub in Milan to 17 different European destinations, including to Bari, Catania, Helsinki, Lodz, Manchester, Palermo, Porto and Wroclaw.
