Air Sinai was formed in 1982 flying scheduled services between it's base in Egypt and Israel. This route was previously flown by Nefetiti Aviation.
Flights were initially operated using a Boeing 737-200 leased from Egypt Air and new routes to Israel's tourist destinations followed quickly. By the early 1980s a Fokker Friendship was also in use on these services.
Charter flights are also flown for Egypt Air. At the end of the 1990s a Boeing 737-500 was introduced in a basic white livery with Air Sinai titles. More information about Air Sinai
